Which vehicles can I hire?
You can rent almost any model from our extensive range of passenger and commercial vehicles – from small superminis like the Ford Fiesta right through to a seven-seater MPV. If it's a van you are looking for then we have a large range including a Luton box van with tail-lift. Premier Rental are able to register new models as soon as they become available, so you have the chance to be among the first to drive them. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A deposit of £500 is required for all car bookings. A deposit of £750 is required for all van booking.
Do you have a minimum/maximum age limit for hiring?
If you’re aged between 25 and 70 you can rent a vehicle from us under our standard insurance terms. We always try to accommodate exceptions outside this age range by seeking our insurer's approval, however additional conditions may apply. What is your excess?
All Cars £5000 Excess (reduced to £500 if waiver taken at £15.00 per day). Vans and Bus £5000 Excess (reduced to £750 if waiver taken at £15.00 per day). There is also an optional tyre and windscreen cover at £10.00 per day on all vehicles.
What type of licence do I need to hire a vehicle?
A National licence from your country of residence is needed to rent our vehicles. If you posses a two part UK photo card licence - then both parts must be presented at time of hire. If your licence is not printed in the Roman alphabet an International Driving Permit (IDP) is also required. We are happy to advise on any aspect of licence issues.
Can I have an additional driver?
Yes you can. Additional drivers are subject to the same conditions as the main driver and there will be a small charge for each additional driver.
Can I still rent if I have points on my licence?
In most cases this would not pose a problem, but please have details of any endorsements available at the time of booking.
How much will it cost to rent a vehicle?

Is insurance included in the price?
Yes - all our quotes include insurance and vat. (All quotes are subject to terms and conditions.)
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit/debit cards.
Can I leave my own vehicle at Premier Rental?
Whilst we do have a car park on site, we cannot allow hirers to leave their own vehicle on our premises whilst they hire a car or van from us.
What do I do about fuel?
Fuel is not included and will be at extra cost. All our vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel at the commencement of the hire. You are required to refuel the vehicle before returning it to us. Vehicles returned with fuel shortages will be charged for the cost of the fuel difference, plus £15.00.
Can I take my rental vehicle abroad?
Provided we are aware prior to the hire commencing, and all insurance and recovery insurance has been arranged then Yes, we allow some of our vehicles to travel overseas, although you MUST mention this when you make your booking as extra insurance and associated costs are payable. We’ll need to know which countries you’ll be visiting and for how long, so we can make sure we prepare all the relevant documentation and cover. This documentation is a legal requirement and you must be able to present it when you pass national borders because, if you don’t have it, your vehicle could be seized by Customs and Excise. Additional European Emergency cover must be sought and obtained by the customer. We will need to retain a copy of this policy for our records. We will be more than happy to answer any questions on all aspects of overseas rental.
What happens if I breakdown?
In the UK you are covered by our breakdown cover, details of which are in all of our vehicles. If you are abroad, you will be covered by breakdown and accident insurance cover taken out at your expense.
Can I leave my rental vehicle at another location?
No we cannot offer one-way rental.
Do you offer a delivery and collection service?
Yes, we do dependant on location and time of the year! We charge from £25 for delivery and £25 for collection. Subject to availability. Delivery and collection is only available during Rental opening hours. Please ask for details.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Depending on the situation and the notice you provide for a cancellation, you may forfeit your deposit, which could be up to £750.

Both the deposit and hire may be paid in cash or by credit or debit card prior to the commencement of the hire. You must provide a Debit/Credit card in the name of the hirer.
